Q: Got a big wishlist, but your budget says you need to pace yourself?
Q: Would you like to explore exciting papercrafting projects and techniques on a regular basis?
Q: Do you need to put a little more "social" or "fun" into your life?
If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then a Stamper's 30 Club may be right up your alley! And you've presently got 2 locations to choose from: South Whidbey (2nd Tuesday evening each month) or Oak Harbor (the following evening). Or if you're in my general off-island area (roughly from Marysville south down the 5 or 405 to approx. N.Seattle or Woodinville), let's talk about starting up your own group with your own friends!
Check out these great benefits my Stampers 30 Club Members enjoy:
- Grow your stamp and crafting collection on the "budget plan". Choose a few new "toys" every month.
- View and take advantage of all the monthly specials that interest you - throughout an entire year.
- Enjoy complimentary Make & Take project(s) every month. I plan & prep 'em; you make & take 'em. (Here are some projects similar to Club projects of this past year: here, here, here, here, here, and here. Notice how I spoil my Club members with projects that are a bit of a "step up" so you're continually learning something new, and your friends will be appropriately impressed when you show 'em what you made?!?)
- Get complimentary copies of all stamping catalogs and minis released during your Club membership term
- Get hostess benefits (that is, FREE STUFF) based on a $300 workshop (or more) - at least once during your 10-month* term. (Clever option: pump up your hostess benefits by collecting additional outside orders during your "hostess" month, or by hosting an actual workshop at about the same time.)
- Have the opportunity to participate in a Mystery Hostess event during at least one month of your term - so you might win some additional hostess benefits that month, too.
- Get discount pricing at all my monthly Stamp-a-Stacks
- Get discount pricing at all my specialty classes
- And be sure to ask about my exclusive members-only Stamp Club Rewards Card -which can earn you even more free product or discounts on my specialty classes!
FAQ:
Q: Is there a monthly purchase requirement for Stamp Club members?
A: Yes. For each membership spot you take, you agree to order at least $30 in product during the 10 regular months we meet each year. (S/H & tax will be added to it.) Your term is for a full year (usually July - June), and most members just sign up for one ($30) membership spot. But if your budget allows a $60 purchase each month you may take 2 membership spots - and double your hostess benefits by claiming them twice during the year! (For other possible membership options such as splitting a membership with a friend, please call me.)
Q: What if I cannot afford to purchase my $30 order some month? Can I skip a month or two and make it up later? Or what if I decide to drop out?
A: Well, I would hope you would anticipate upcoming difficult financial situations and let me know in advance so we can work together to handle it. Probably the best option if only for a month or two would be to collect an equivilent amount of outside orders from friends who are not in the Club, and substitute those in place of your own order that month. That is fine because it still fulfills your $30 promise to your Club.
My Clubs are structured to depend on each member fulfilling the minimum order she has agreed to; otherwise there will be insufficient total group sales that month and the hostess will not get all the hostess benefits to which she is entitled. Therefore, I really encourage people to be faithful about fulfilling their commitments to submit their promised order.
But that said, I do also understand that we cannot always know what a year may have in store. In the case of significant, unpredictable changes in your life (serious family illness, critical job loss, etc.), please let me know right away, and I'll offer some ideas for making alternate arrangements.
Q: When it's my month to be "hostess", do I have to have everyone over to my house? Do I have to collect and/or deliver orders? Do I have to provide refreshments?
A: In a word - "no". Because of the structure of this Club, we always meet in the same location - regardless of who will be designated as the "hostess" for purposes of receiving the hostess benefits generated by combining all members' orders together. All orders will be placed directly through me, and orders will deliver to me for pickup or delivery later. As far as refreshments go, that is entirely up to you. I currently have one Club where the "hostess" almost always brings snacks to share, and one Club where there are almost never refreshments.
Q: What if I live so far away I will never (or seldom) be able to attend the Make & Take meetings? Or - what if I sometimes have a scheduling conflict? Is there some way I can still participate?
A: Yep! Even if you can never attend, you can still participate in purchase-only mode. That means that while you will not attend the make & take sessions, you will still be entitled to all the other perks of Club membership. But you must still turn in your monthly order by the date of your regular Club's get-together or before; order submittal by telephone or email is fine.
Or if you simply have an occasional scheduling conflict you're welcome to attend the Make & Take session of another Club group that same month. (But your order will still be due the day of your regular club session.) Just contact me a couple days in advance to let me know you're switching make & take sessions that month so I can be prepared.
Q: Since I'll be considered a "hostess" during at least one month of my Club membership term, will this qualify me to attend your annual Hostess Appreciation Party in the summer?
A: Ouch! I'm sorry 'bout this one - but no it won't. My annual Hostess Appreciation Party is exclusively for hostesses who have actually held a traditional workshop with me during the year (complete with invitations, guests, orders, refreshments, the whole home-party tradition - although it CAN be at my house, if you wish). But the good news is that even Club members can host a "real" workshop (and they're really fun, too), so you can certainly earn an invitation to my summertime party *that* way! :-)
* Club Members: Note that your "10 months' " purchase requirements may actually be spread out over 11 or 12 months, as there may be occasional months that I am unable to plan and hold corresponding Make It & Take It events. During those months, required minimum purchases will be waived although you are always welcome to place an order with me if you wish to, of course. July 2010 will be one such month during which we will not meet and orders will be waived. We may also have a "participation-optional" month, where the hostess benefits will be distributed among several participants in a mystery hostess drawing. This month usually occurs during the winter.
