I can't believe that I've now got two months' worth of Stamp-a-Stack cards and swap cards waiting to be shared, but I'll try to get a couple of Halloween-appropriate cards up before the season's done.
This one was from a recent group swap...... and made by Debby Bockman. It's sure caught a lot of eyes while I've had it here on display, so although the color of this sample is not really true, I'm choosing it for today's sample. It features the Pumpkin Patch and Holiday Best stamp sets, and everyone seems really taken with the hand-cut fence pieces!
Sharing another baby swap card with you. This one's from Laurel Matthew, and if you've been stamping with me for very long you probably already know I have an incurable weakness for pink and brown together (in fact I almost used those colors for MY swap card, lol)!
Anyway, Laurel stole my heart with this sweet card with all her darling details and dimension. To create her background, by the way, Laurel brayered a Texturz plate (for the Big Shot machine) with ink (probably Pretty in Pink), then placed her glossy cardstock face down onto the inked surface and ran the complete sandwich through the Big Shot. That created not only the texture of the background, but the pink and white pattern as well. Stamp-a-Stackers, do you remember the blue and white polka dot card we made last spring that featured this same technique? (Except we didn't use glossy cardstock on ours.)
Don't forget you can click on most of my card samples to see a somewhat larger version if you want to study further details.
As I promised a few days ago I'll be sharing a sampling of some of the baby cards from our recent Sea to Sea Stampers card swap. To begin, I'm choosing a card from the very first package I opened on the "unveiling" day. This one's from Barb Bockman and features punches and the Big Shot for dimension and fun. The Bold Brights colors really grabbed my attention!
Today's sure been a fun day! Christmas cards have been coming together around my table all day...... there's been practice and learning with My Digital Studio happening on my computer at the same time...... and my downline demonstrator group just grew by one this evening. What a fun and happy day with Stampin' Up!® and my friends!
Now I'd always thought these kids' party kits were a pretty spiffy price from the moment they were introduced. But for this week (only), their already-great prices just dropped by more than 35%! So grab up a kit or two for each kid, and give 'em a birthday party to remember!
But don't get too distracted by the Halloween Hoopla, 'cuz these prices only last through Saturday, the 31st. You may place your order through me, or order online at your convenience and have your goodies shipped to you directly.

Just a few more hours to add this past week's "Deals" to an order - 'cuz by tomorrow morning (Monday), Stampin' Up!® will announce their 4th and final "Deal of the Week". I'll get it posted as soon as I can after the announcement!
Every month my Sea to Sea Stampers demonstrator group holds a themed card swap - and we take turns hosting it. So this month it was my turn to host, and our theme was "babies". This could be interpretted any way one wished: "welcome baby" cards, birth announcements, shower invitations, whatever.... One of our demonstrators even interpretted that into a "1st birthday" card.
Well, today was the day the cards were due, and when I host, I prefer to just accumulate the packages as they arrive from around the country, and then open them all together. (Seems more fun that way.) And WOW!!!! Were today's cards ever AWESOME! So I'll be sharing some here eventually - once I get a chance to photograph 'em and get 'em all ready to post.
But first, there's a big family birthday dinner to carry off this weekend - in celebration of my mom's birthday...... one of those super-special ones that end in "0"!
